It's that time of year again!
I decided to share my Boy Quilt with you.
I made this quilt for my little monster who is very
specific about his likes and dislikes. His blanket had to be soft, and
it had to be blue, absolutely no flowers allowed {believe me he checked
every inch of this quilt for anything unacceptable!}
Lucky for me he approved of his new 'mummy blanket' and this quilt is being well used. Today I picked it up from the floor after a long day of being a fort and a raft and a cover for a very scary zombie and laid it on his bed again where it turned back into a blanket to snuggle up and fall asleep under.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have a good weekend!
x Leila

I like how you layed out the quilt. It's not busy, yet some blocks catches the eye. I love the blue and green color combinations!
ReplyDeleteJust how a boy's quilt should be used!!
ReplyDeletehaha! love that the quilt was inspected for suitability! It's beautiful. Or should I say "handsome"?
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Love the colors and design. That's one lucky boy!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo on the snow :) The colours look so clean and neat. Beautiful modern quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, I love it! And since I have a boy myself, I understand the flowers issue :) I'll definitely say this quilt is mighty handsome. Love the color palette and I love the way the blocks draw your eye's attention across the quilt. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt. The colors blend well. I guess you made each block individually, because they're all different. I think it's my favorite so far. I especially like your wheelbarrow.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when our quilts are so loved and enjoyed (even if they're not exactly respected!) You were lucky, my DS has instructed that his quilt be blue and white, not blues, no blocks designs, no patterns and yes, no flowers! The design I came up with has met with approval, hopefully I'll be able to feature it in the next festival if I get a wiggle on!
ReplyDeleteSuch a striking quilt. I love the layout and the colors, really sharp!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt and a very sweet story!
ReplyDeleteIt's great so boy friendly! I love that he checked it for anything unacceptable!!
ReplyDeleteBoy quilts rock-- yes they do!! I loved all your descriptions for what he was using his quilt for!
ReplyDeleteWonderful boy quilt! Glad it's being loved!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great boy quilt, I laughed that he inspected it for flowers. "Mummy blanket" is the sweetest term I think I've heard used to describe a quilt. It's great that you let him use it for playing, there'll be lots of childhood memories wrapped up in that quilt! Awesome photos as usual!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this quilt! The white with those little bursts of color in the squares really showcases the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colors - that met the requirements laid out by your son. I also love that he is truly enjoying his quilt.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Sometimes it is hard to find enough good fabrics without flowers though. Great quilt - I bet your son loves it.

ReplyDeleteFun!
I really like the layout where the blue blocks seem to float. I am glad you 'little monster' loves it so much.
ReplyDeleteI have such a hard time picking fabrics for boy quilts. This one is just right. (My son in law does not want flowers on his bed, either, so my daughter and I have been looking for the right fabric for two years. Finally found something we got "approval" for and can start on it soon.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful quilt. I have bookmarked this one as a good chocie for my own little man. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers!
