I'm looking at this time as a blessing, I believe that with the right attitude any ordeal can be a blessing in disguise. Despite the unpleasantness of the illness we're both making the most out of it. And although some days the walls are caving in on me I'm rather enjoying getting to spend all this exclusive time with the one person I love most in the world!
It is making me so grateful for blogging, and Flickr and all you lovely people! Knowing you all are out there just one email away makes me feel much less cut off from the real world than I know I'd otherwise would have felt.
Thank you so much!
x Leila

It can rather feel like life has stood still when you are stuck at home with poorly child for ages-you are so right to look for positives though and he will appreciate the TLC you have given him in so many ways
ReplyDeleteHold in there Leila. As you say we are all an email or tweet away. Hope things start to get better soon for you and your son. Last year I was holed up with my two pretty much the whole winter and it does take it out of you. xx
ReplyDeleteI well remember those days of being stuck in the house with sick children (X4) so I know what you are experiencing. Please know that I will say a prayer for your little one that all will be well soon. And when you need to talk to someone, we are all here to listen. xo
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Thank heavens for contact with the outside world via our lovely online communities. I hope he's recovered soonest.
ReplyDeleteHope your little one is feeling better soon. We're all "out here" for you!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! My daughter has a chronic viral thing that flares up on occasion and we get stuck in the house too. You are so right, attitude makes all the difference!

ReplyDeleteWishing your little boy a super speedy recovery! I agree wholeheartedly about the internet and the wonderful online community.
ReplyDeleteI recall when my kids were small and being naughty I would want them to be quiet, or whatever. Then when they got poorly I just wanted them back to normal kids again. Hope your wee one is much better soon Leila.
ReplyDeleteI hope your little one gets better soon. Sending warm thoughts your way.
ReplyDeletei hope he is better soon and you are both able to get out and about. i am sure he has cabin fever too.
ReplyDeleteFeel for you! Mine have had sick days off too but being older they don't need much from me but to know that I am around!
ReplyDeletemy thoughts are with you, and your baby!. last year my baby girl spent 162 days in the NICU after she was born 3 months early. she had many complications and it helped me to know that we were in the thoughts of many. She is now happy and healthy 17 month old!. and on the 30th she will have been out of the hospital for a year. quite a milestone. some things take time. take care of each other.

you really have the right attitude seeing this time as something special in spending time together. When my daughters were ill I was reading Michel aus Lönneberga from Astrid Lindgren so often time after time, and now we remember this helping so much because of the positive and optimistic view of life in these tales. I hope your little one will be better soon, all good wishes!
