Give Away Day!

I don't know what it is about Sew Mama Sew Give Away Day but it always makes me feel like Christmas morning, how about you?

I know you are all busy and have lots of blogs to visit so I'll try and keep this one short and sweet.

Up for grabs today is this cushion cover. I myself think it looks rather christmassy with the red, white and green but since no actual Christmas themed fabrics were used this cushion would look great all year round.

The give away is open to anyone, anywhere I will ship international.
No hoops, you do not have to follow my blog, twitter or heart my shop. Of course I love it if you do all these things, but none of that is required to be eligible to win.

To Enter:
  1. Leave a comment on this post. Tell me something interesting about yourself; a funny or embarrassing story, childhood memory, quirky habit, random fact etc.
  2. I love my readers! So if you follow my blog just leave a separate comment to say you do for a bonus entry.
That's it, two comments maximum per person please!
If you have forgotten something and would like to add a new comment, please delete your old comment and place a new one. This keeps the final count fair for everyone.

Please make sure I can get a hold of you through email. If your email is not disclosed in your profile include it in your comment. If you win and I can not get a hold of you I will have to draw another winner.

I will not answer any comments on the give away post, but rest assured I do read each and every one of them!
The give away closes Friday 16th of December at midnight CET.  I will draw the winner with random number generator and announce them here sometime the 17th.

Good luck!!

x Leila

  1. Very pretty colors on the pillow! Let's see, this morning in the rush to leave for school and work I nagged my daughter several times to make sure her hair was brushed. Then when I got to school (to teach!) myself I realized I hadn't brushed my own yet. Shh... don't tell.

  16. Lovely pillow!

I was born in England but moved to Canada when I was 7. The kids teased me about my English accent so I worked hard to get rid of it. Now I wish I had ignored the teasing and kept the accent.

  28. This pillow is really beautiful! I keep looking at all of the SMS giveaway posts/projects and I keep getting reminded of all of the things that I would like to make for myself. I guess I need to start a list.

The funniest moment in my life (IMO) was when I got my cousin to close his eyes and open his mouth {there's no way I would have fallen for that...} and fed him a whole clove of garlic. The look on his face was hilarious as he was trying to spit it out... Oh, and we were in the car, too (not sure why we had the garlic...)

Of course, my husband was deployed at the time, so I had to go to a neighbor's house and get her to untangle the comb that was stabbing into my scalp. Definitely not a request most neighbors get.

  57. Here's a story from today: I work at a university, and this afternoon members of my lab were walking back after hearing a colleague give a presentation. Our lab is quite large, and we filled the elevator. I suggested we had enough folks to "occupy"--except we ought to fake a protest! My boss suggested we be the lowest-performing 99% of the student body, paying exorbitant tuition to protest that we're not getting as good grades as the top 1%... Hmm...

  147. What a lovely, generous giveaway! A little tale....One day I got to work and realized I had forgotten to put on a bra. I am fairly busty, but since this was long ago (before I nursed four children), the girls were still perfectly perky. If anyone noticed, there were no comments!!

    Thanks!

  148. Thanks for the giveaway! Something interesting about me is that I had a sliver of glass in my hand for over 20 years (got it when I fell as a kid) before it worked itself out. I didn't even know it was there. Weird huh ?

  155. Susan Sands Wedeward, I love the pillow and the colors of the fabric. The retro colors remind me of my most cherished christmas gift. A doll bed made by a husband and wife at a nursing home as a child. Same colors the wife sewed the pillows sheets quilt comforter with sheer fabric and glued an old card cut out on the headboard. The husband built the bed. The detail of all the bedding was amazing. Layers of bedding. My mother spent twenty-five dollars and my aunt kept us in the car while she went and bought it and put it in the trunk. I am about 38 years old. susanasaw@yahoo.com

  161. My daughter was practicing some lines for a christmas play at school and she mispronounced Christ (said chris with a "t") and manger (said anger with an "m") we were laughing so hard we couldn't breathe, I will never be able to sing away in a manger with a straight face again!

When I was a little girl I came home from school and I needed the loo but my Mum wasn't home. Instead of perhaps going in the back garden I went to the neighbours round the corner and promptly went on her front porch!

    Thanks for the chance!

  164. My first name is Holly so my cousins used to tease me all year long when we would get together and sing "Holly Jolly Christmas" I am over it and it doesn't bother me now, but now it's fun for me to say "me" instead of "Holly" when it comes up in Christmas songs.

  166. When I was five I ate so many chocolates eggs one easter that suddenly as I was running around the garden with my siblings I pooped my pants! So very mortifying - I've never consumed so much chocolate again :-)
