I know you are all busy and have lots of blogs to visit so I'll try and keep this one short and sweet.
Up for grabs today is this cushion cover. I myself think it looks rather christmassy with the red, white and green but since no actual Christmas themed fabrics were used this cushion would look great all year round.
The give away is open to anyone, anywhere I will ship international.
No hoops, you do not have to follow my blog, twitter or heart my shop. Of course I love it if you do all these things, but none of that is required to be eligible to win.
To Enter:
- Leave a comment on this post. Tell me something interesting about yourself; a funny or embarrassing story, childhood memory, quirky habit, random fact etc.
- I love my readers! So if you follow my blog just leave a separate comment to say you do for a bonus entry.
If you have forgotten something and would like to add a new comment, please delete your old comment and place a new one. This keeps the final count fair for everyone.
Please make sure I can get a hold of you through email. If your email is not disclosed in your profile include it in your comment. If you win and I can not get a hold of you I will have to draw another winner.
I will not answer any comments on the give away post, but rest assured I do read each and every one of them!
The give away closes Friday 16th of December at midnight CET. I will draw the winner with random number generator and announce them here sometime the 17th.
Good luck!!
x Leila
I was the only girl in the neighborhood, so we played all boy sports. One day I was jumping rope on my front porch, all the boys we're playing stick ball in the street, and my pants fell down! I was so embarrassed :) Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I'm a follower :D
ReplyDeleteI think any story I share here that involves me will be embarrassing, so I'll share one about my mum lol
ReplyDeleteI've had pink hair for a very long time, lately when I've been redoing it my mum had paid more attention than normal "Oh so do you strip your hair first?" "so where did you say you pick up your colour?" you get where this is going! Last weekend she popped over to show off her bright purple "do" I think at 58 it looks outstanding and as she say's as she gets older she can say her purple rinse was a bit stronger than normal :)
embarrassing story: once at Pilates class I bent over for a roll down and a whole lot of hershey kisses fell out of my hoodie pocket. Love the pillow, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've been following for a little while now!
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe of your cushions leila!! I'd be over the moon to win this beauty!

ReplyDeleteLet's see...when I was in second grade, I was constantly teased on the playground by a girl in my class who would run after me saying "shortie! shortie!" because I am short. It made me miserable.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower, thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteEmbarrassing story - I was making pizzas for a large group away from home. Every one gathered and I didn't have a rolling pin. I broke down and cried in front of 30 people.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little all I wanted was a pair of jeans to wear, rather than all the beautiful clothes my Mum and Grandmother made me. I didn't know at the time how lucky I was!
ReplyDeleteI am very happy to be one of your followers. The cushion is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the pillow! Embarrasing story: When I was about eighteen I really liked this guy, who was uber cool and drove a motorbike. I was talking to him at the pub and I accidently knocked a pint of beer into his helmet! Not cool at all, but I did end up going out with him..lol!

ReplyDeleteWell... an interesting fact about me... I just learnt a valuable lesson in not to leave my sliding door open during a thunderstorm. I was sitting here writing emails when (and I do not joke!) a FROG hopped across my BED and landed on my laptop screen.

ReplyDeleteHere's my quirk. When papers are stapled together the corners MUST line up exactly. If someone else staples something crookedly and it comes across my desk I will unstaple it and fix it. I think my former boss found this amusing and would staple things crooked on purpose.
ReplyDeleteAt recent parent-teacher meetings at my daughter's high school, I ran into someone I had known during my own high school years (a fellow parent). This man has no idea that his legacy in my own repertoire of high-school-memories concerns the day that our math-teacher-cum-karate-instructor Clive (it was an "alternative school") called him up to demonstrate some kind of karate move, and my poor classmate had to stand in front of us all, trying to maintain his composure and dignity, with a very prominent erection in his blue satin gym shorts. I think this was nearly as embarrassing to me, as a 14-year-old girl, as it was to him. Well, perhaps not QUITE so...but anyway....
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower from WAAAAYYYYY back :)
ReplyDeleteWhen 5 years old I fell on a rusty old nail and it went through my hand. I still have the scar to prove it and that was 54 years ago.

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty pillow cover! Quirky fact about me: I'm a twin, and the daughter of a twin.
ReplyDeleteLove this pillow cover!! Here's a funny tale: Our kitchen counter was being changed so the bottom cupboards were empty. It was later at night when the kids should have been in bed, but there was my son in the kitchen and as I got closer to the cupboards my daughter shot out of the bottom cupboards scaring the living daylights out of me!! I still laugh over this one!!

ReplyDeleteOh, I love spewing random facts about myself. When I was in first grade, every day I would ask to go to the bathroom. I would leave, then come back and sit in my seat and wet my pants. Finally after the third time, my sweet teacher asked me why I was doing this and I told her: I couldn't find the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 15 I had a perm that made look like Roseannadanna from SNL. Back when perms weren't even cool anymore.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up, my Aunt Vicki was my hero. She was a skydiver (with a bright red parachute that everyone called "The Cherry). She had a huge Oscar fish that would throw tantrums and rearrange the tank if he felt ignored. And her socks didn't match. Ever.
I've followed in her footsteps, literally. I never match my socks, and the brighter and more obnoxious they are, the happier I am. :)
Random fact, any old rubbish on TV can make me cry, it doesn't even have to be sad.
ReplyDeleteGreat givaway!
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as facts go, I stopped wearing trousers when I was about five. Ever since my wardrobe is made up of skirts and dresses. And to make things a bit difficult... I hate wearing stockings. So I only do so when temperatures are about to hit freezing point. So up until today my bare legs are responsible for many worry looks on the faces of the old ladies I pass when doing the school run!
Random concern - If I live to be 100, I'll never use up all the fabric in my stash!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Leila! I can't help myself - must enter your giveaway! As for embarrassing stories...when I was a very new and sleep-deprived mommy I had to run to the grocery store to grab something basic like milk or bread. In the checkout line I realized I was still in my pjs and hadn't combed my hair (for a few days probably). Nice. It's a wonder I had any type of footwear on at all. :-)
ReplyDeleteMmm, I myself am not very organized but love helping other people become organized.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI´ve affraid to cut fabrics. I do everything, the measures, ando so on, but I ask for someone to cut and I say "cut, cut, do it, don´t be affraid!"!!!

ReplyDeleteMy father is very awesome and funny, but when I was shopping for my first bra, I didn't appreciate his humor. The day before Thanksgiving, Walmart is packed, I'm sitting on the bench on the side so noone would know they were mine, and my dad holds them up and screams "Emily, do you want paper or plastic". I've never received so many blank stares.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a young teen, my family went for breakfast at Denny's. When my parents went to pay us kids were waiting for them and goofing around and I walked backwards and knocked over a huge display sign and fell on top of it. It was quite mortifying but now I just laugh when I think of it. :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pillow/cushion it'd be wrong to not have a go at winning!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if this is a random fact or funny story but here goes.
I was attacked by bees once, honestly! I was taking part in a charity bike ride and one flew into my cycle helmet and got stuck. I went totally screaming hysterical (don't like buzzy things at the best of times) which attracted all the other bees and they all proceeded to sting me on the head. Not my proudest moment I have to say but quite entertaining for everyone else. You should see me run when I hear bee now ;)

ReplyDeleteHi Leila, I love your blog and should really comment more often as I pop in all the time. Random fact about me: I get unhappy if I don't bake regularly. How full my drawer of plastic containers is, is directly proportionate to how happy I am. The more empty, the more baking I've done, and so the happier I am.

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things that has happened in my life is catching my pet bunny eating cookies I left on my bed. When I found her nibbling away, she ran off with the cookie and hid under the bed. When I retrieved what was left, it had the cliche munch marks. It was awesome. Like mother, like daughter, we share our love of chocolate cookies.
