I really thought I was not going to make it in time! I was starting to get a little
So I decided a self intervention was in order and I bought some gifts - yup clutch your pearls ladies, I didn't shop on Etsy either but hit the department stores -gasp!
Rest assured though, there also will be plenty of handmade under the tree this year ;-)
I am torn between wanting to show off what I have made and knowing my lovelies do occasionally glance over my blog. So I am opting for tiny sneak peeks as not to spoil too much of the surprise.
Last warning, if you are on my list this Christmas click away now!
There will be a few of these,
another one done,
and a few of these
Come April next year, remind me to start on my Christmas present early, will you? ;-)
So, how are you coping with the busiest season of the year?
x Leila

I'll pop a note in my diary for April ...."remind Leila to start her Christmas sewing!" They all look lovely! I'm sure come Christmas Day you will think it was worth it! And be a bit proud too!
ReplyDeleteHow am I doin with my christmas sewing? Bit like you I think, except there isnt anyone to snap at so sweary mutterings instead. Almost done.... (I bought a few things too to aid my sanity...)
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing because I'm in exactly the same boat (although I haven't actually hit any shops yet as I won't be paid till Friday o.O) Today may be the deal breaker in how much shopping I'll have to do. Guess, I'd best get to it...
ReplyDeleteI was going to do homemade presents. In the end only my mother will get homemade.
ReplyDeleteI am always too ambitious! Several days left though - aren't there??

ReplyDeleteYep - I've already decided to spend the entire month of July 2012 working on Christmas projects so that I don't feel so crazy during the holidays. Your peeks are lovely, as usual.

ReplyDeleteThe last few Christmases I have been sewing right up to the deadline, this year I suggested we support our local book shop who are amazing and deserve supporting. I was stitching binding on a birthday quilt that had to be posted last Saturday, made it just in time. Your sneak peeks are fun and lovely!
