Luna Lovegood Scarf

Did you have your followers gadget disappear for a while too? It's seems to be back now but just in case it goes again I thought we could play a little game to get to know each other. We don't need profile badges and gadgets for that right!

So lets talk shall we? I'll go first and you can just leave your answers in the comments here, the questions are quite random- fun right?

Have you ever eaten a crayon?
 I don't think I have!
 
The kid next door who is nine and in love asked me this the other day. Have you ever gotten a love letter?
My answer was yes of course loads, I get them all the time! ;-)

Wich perfume do you use?
I wear Allure by Chanel or Fuel for Life by Diesel.

Did you want a different name when you were little and if so what was it?
Oh yes I did, I wanted to be named Nancy for some reason. My son wants to be called James in his next life cute :-)

Have you ever been found playing air guitar?
Yup I have and I've played a fair bit of air harp, air flute and air xylophones too!

 

What was the crappiest job you've ever had? {remember you're not entirely anonymous online so if it's your current one perhaps it's wise not to mention any names!}

The crappiest job I've ever had was a paper route, I had it for exactly one day and then I gave up. I was about 15 years old and weighed 3kgs my bike was heavier than I was I couldn't hold it up straight. To top it off I had to drag it through the snow and got hit on by a drunk. Never again lol!

I crochet the scarf in the pictures using this tutorial It's called the Luna Lovegood scarf after the Harry Potter character and it's super fun and easy to make. I love Harry Potter!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all a bit better!

Log Cabin Pillow

Today I have a new pillow to share with you all. I desperately want to replace some old and worn out furniture, but since I cannot afford to at the moment I decided to spend my weekend rearranging all the old crap. You know, to see if it looks better from a different corner of the room ;-) And it does sorta kinda..

Bought some pretty flowers and made a pillow from some leftovers of my + & x blocks {the quilt top is coming together nicely}. I love log cabin pillows, simple but very effective. This is now my favorite corner of the house.

Now I need to visit some good car boot sales, thrift shops , fleamarkets or whatever it is called in your neck of the woods for some lovely bargains!

{Blogger's Quilt Festival} Spring 2011

It's that time of year again!

I decided to share my Boy Quilt with you.

I made this quilt for my little monster who is very specific about his likes and dislikes. His blanket had to be soft, and it had to be blue, absolutely no flowers allowed {believe me he checked every inch of this quilt for anything unacceptable!}

Lucky for me he approved of his new 'mummy blanket' and this quilt is being well used. Today I picked it up from the floor after a long day of being a fort and a raft and a cover for a very scary zombie and laid it on his bed again where it turned back into a blanket to snuggle up and fall asleep under.
